Let’s keep it real, sometimes vaginas get a little smelly. It’s perfectly normal to experience a bit of odor during your period. You know your body best––if you’re noticing anything concerning, we strongly encourage you to chat about this with your doctor as it never hurts to get a second opinion to put your mind at ease and make sure things are a-okay with your vajayjay. (Yes, we said it.)
If you’re just noticing some funky smells from your cup, that's not uncommon and we’ve got you covered. Here are a few ways that should get rid of them:
The best ways to get rid of odors is to completely nip them in the bud; as long as you follow the care instructions you should not notice any odors coming from your cup, but in the chance that this does happen, give it a good boil for 10 mins to sanitize it and voila the smell should be outta there! If not, soaking it in cold, soapy water (make sure it's oil and fragrance-free soap of course) for 20- 30 mins and then boiling it to sanitize should get rid of any unwanted smells as well!
It's also crucial to not wear your cup longer than the recommended 12-hour time frame without proper cleaning. Ideally, a good wash for every 8-12 hours of wear will likely reduce odors as well and keep your vagina healthy + happy. Please remember the silicone can absorb odors, but with proper care and cleaning, your cup will be safe to use.
